A message for our wholesale customers
This year brings a couple of changes worth talking about. While we did all of our packaging in clear plastic bags for the past season or two, in an attempt to cut down on the amount of plastic we were contributing to landfills, we now have an alternative to offer in the form of brown kraft boxes with a plastic window that can be removed and thrown away, making the rest of the packaging recyclable. Some of you may find this option easier to merchandise and it gives the cards a more artisan feel, I think. We will continue to have the clear bags available and can offer you the option to choose which you prefer.
We also did a printing this year of ten cards we had been out of for a while or had very small quantities left available. I'm excited about these cards because we have printed for the first time on 100#, uncoated, FSC certified paper and they feel wonderful to hold and provide a great writing surface. The printer we used is a leading green printer in the Southwest, using plant based inks whenever possible and running on 100% renewable energy. They are now posted on the catalog page and we hope you give them a try. These cards were much more expensive to produce than our regular cards, but for their initial introduction this season, they will be priced the same as all of our cards, which leads us to the next paragraph.....
You will find that prices still have not changed from 2019 although, as you all are aware, printing and materials prices certainly have. As a small business serving other small businesses, we strive to achieve a balance that works for everyone. As postage and printing prices keep rising, we may have to rethink this strategy for next year but for this holiday season you can breathe easy where we are concerned that prices will not be increasing. As we did last year, we are extending payment terms to a December 30th due date for all orders over $350 with a delivery date in October or November. For all other terms please see the 'Wholesale Information' under the 'Contact Us' tab. We hope this helps a little and we hope that we will hear from some of you this year.
